Suffolk Carehome Lift Project Success
A care home in Suffolk were looking for a new access lift to replace a previously installed lift in the building, including removal of the old lift. Sheridan Lifts – who have extensive care home access experience – were contacted by Kingsley Healthcare to organise the project.
Accessibility in a care home is vital, where elderly or disabled residents may require the lift on a daily basis to move between residences and living areas. The lift needed to be durable and robust, as well as causing minimal disruption in the care home as residents would still be living there during the installation.
Sheridan Lifts contacted Gartec as our 7000 platform lift was ideal for the care home – durable, quiet and quick. Our team enjoyed working with Sheridan Lifts as a professional and high quality service provider who kept the project on time and running smoothly.
They commented on our platform lift:
“Their patented screw and nut drive system offers a safe, quiet and environmentally friendly solution eliminating the need for any separate machine room, pump box or housing for hydraulic equipment.
The self-supporting enclosure is constructed from 25mm thick vinyl coated double skinned steel panels or framed 8.8mm toughened and laminated glass providing one of the most robust and durable structures available on the market”
The care home are thrilled with the project, and Sheridan Lifts spoke with Kingsley Healthcare, their client, who said:
“I went over to the site and I am very happy with the new unit. The staff, residents and care home manager are also happy with it. The manager has asked me to pass on how well both sets of engineers worked and the good job they did”
The result is an ideal solution for the care home which meets all their requirements – and a successful collaboration. Thank you to Sheridan Lifts for including us in the project!
