Essentially, it enables you to see what your existing home would look like with a new paint job. The app incorporates up to 30,000 branded paint colours (with the upgraded version) and you can even share it on social media, to get opinions before you make your decision. All you have to do is snap a photo of the room in question, then choose the paint colour.

Color Smart (iOS and Android)

This free paint app is from Behr paints and offers an easy way to find the perfect colour for any room. You can choose your paints by colour family, by decorator style or from the most popular colours and then see how they look by previewing them in a room image. The app offers a way of choosing coordinated colour palettes so you need never again end up with mismatched shades.

 

Home 3D (iOS)

This interior modeling app has an ingenious design, that allows you to actually create your ideal interiors, in computer generated 3D. Add furniture, paint and wallpaper to every room to get a pretty accurate idea of what it will look life ‘in real life.’

 

Photomeasures (Android)

A space measuring app that allows you to note interior dimensions and layouts, to ensure that everything will fit perfectly into a planned new design. Ideal when working with contractors, or when shopping for furniture or supplies.
